Master of Science in Industrial Engineering Master of Science in Manufacturing Engineering |
Each exam involves 12 questions to be solved in 90 minutes. A student can take this placement exam at most twice (both attempts should be made in the same semester). Exams will be graded within 24 hours and students will be notified as to their passing or failing by e-mail.
Our expectation is that the vast majority of students will pass these exams and that the exams will serve as a stimulus for students to review material that they need to know to handle the courses they are taking. Students who fail the placement exam will be given a not-for-credit refresher course in probability and statistics. There is no fee for this course. Students are required to obtain the equivalent of B in this class to satisfy the placement exam requirement.
