The mission of the Global Executive Track is to provide the opportunity for working executives to combine real-world experience with academic skills to create a new class of technical leaders who embrace integrative thinking, are globally aware, and are capable of producing sustainable value to any organization throughout the world.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
The Global Executive Track-PhD in Industrial Engineering is a new cohort based track developed as a response to overwhelming demand by local executives. In this unique track, working executives become our learning partners as we integrate fundamental principles and real-world experience.
Program Highlights:
- Earn a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering while maintaining your current job. The Global Executive Track is designed for the working executive. Courses meet every fourth weekend (Thursday evening, Friday afternoon, and Saturday all day), which are considered residency sessions. We also provide a distance education meeting during the middle week between residency sessions to continue an academic dialogue. For a more detailed breakdown, please click HERE.
- Become a learning partner in a progressive classroom that incorporates the knowledge and experience of like-minded executive students to promote learning objectives. Courses are team taught and designed by faculty from industrial engineering, business, anthropology, and senior executives from industry.
- Join Executives from Ford, Chrysler, Delphi, General Dynamics, American Axle and other major industries.
- Contribute to courses that are designed to develop and promote integrated thinking, knowledge creation, best practice applications, and global perspectives.
- Examine issues dealing with globalization and confront major problems effecting profitability, sustainability, and longevity of major industries.
- Experience an innovative curriculum that addresses the importance of human infrastructure, robust processes, clock speed, systems thinking, and culture.
